After the development is completed and the trees have regenerated
(this area was logged in 1992-1994) you will not see the development
from height on the other side of Galena Bay (Storm Point).

Development Features
The planned features for Galena Shores are:
- Gravel roads
- Power, water, septic, telephone
- ~ 1 kilometer of waterfront (3,061' to be exact)
- 141 acres is the amount of land originally put into the
development. 71 acres of that has been donated as
park to the crown. Another 2
acres will be donated to the
Columbia Shuswap Regional District
(CSRD) as a site for a
Community Centre.
- A well water utility will be put in place to provide water to
Galena Shores residents. This will be turned over to
the CSRD to run. This ensures that a high standard of
water will always be available.
